Sign & Erase

Add signatures or cleanly remove wrong stamps without destroying table borders.

About this tool

Sign PDF — Add Your Signature Without Uploading the Contract

Draw or upload a signature, place it on any page and flatten it into the document. Everything runs locally in your browser — no upload, no sign-up, no watermark and no file size limit.

Draw or Upload a Signature

Sign with a mouse, trackpad or touchscreen, or upload a transparent PNG of your existing signature.

Place, Resize and Flatten

Position the signature on any page, scale it, then flatten it into the page content so it cannot be dragged away.

Contracts Stay Private

Signing platforms store your agreements. Toolula never sees them — the signed file is generated on your device.

How to use it

  1. Drop the PDF you need to sign. All pages load as previews.
  2. Draw your signature in the pad with a mouse, trackpad or finger and click Use drawing, or click Upload PNG to use a scan of your signature.
  3. Tap the page where the signature belongs, then drag it into place and resize it. You can place it on several pages.
  4. Is there an old signature or a wrong stamp on the page? Switch to Erase and tap it to remove it; Restore brings it back.
  5. Click Sign & download. The signature is flattened into the page.

Frequently asked questions

Are my contracts uploaded to a server?

No. Toolula processes the document inside your browser tab with pdf-lib and WebAssembly, so the file never leaves your device.

Is an electronic signature legally valid?

In many jurisdictions a simple electronic signature is valid for everyday agreements, but requirements differ — check the rules that apply to your contract and country.

How is this different from Digital Signature?

Sign PDF adds a picture of your handwritten signature. Digital Signature adds a cryptographic PAdES signature that proves the file has not been changed since it was signed.

Is it really free?

Yes. You can use every Toolula PDF tool for free, without an account. The free plan has fair-use limits; Toolula Pro, an optional plan, raises them and adds advanced features.
